Detailed Introduction

Energy storage systems, depending on their enclosure dimensions and application scenarios, typically comprise hundreds or even thousands of lithium-ion cells. Lithium ions are highly reactive; when a lithium-ion cell experiences thermal runaway—such as due to short circuiting or puncture—it can release large quantities of flammable gases, including hydrogen, methane, ethylene, and carbon monoxide. If a single cell in the battery pack fails, it can very likely trigger combustion or even an explosion of all the cells in the pack.

The pressure-relief panel assembly is installed on the top of the outdoor energy-storage cabinet. In the event of an explosion, the assembly opens along a predetermined zone, releasing the pressure from the cabinet into the surrounding safe area.

First, select the type of explosion-relief panel product, and choose either top insulation or bottom insulation based on your requirements.

The thickness direction of the upper thermal-insulation venting panel extends above the installation interface, providing superior and reliable weather resistance for long-term outdoor use. In contrast, the thickness direction of the lower thermal-insulation venting panel lies below the installation interface, which helps save space above the enclosure and facilitates transportation and storage.

Secondly, provide the corresponding parameters and select the dimensions of the pressure-relief panel through compliant calculations.
